In addition to her on-air role, Porterfield hosts her weekly “Crime of the Week” segments every Thursday during the 4, 5, 9, and 10 pm newscasts. She joined the station in March 2016 as the weekend anchor and lead nightside reporter for CBS 58 News in Milwaukee, before being promoted to her current role in March 2018.
Her time at CBS 58 has been rewarding as she has helped the station receive a Chicago/Midwest Emmy nomination for anchoring and producing “Milwaukee at a Crossroads”. CBS has also received several awards, including those for reporting coverage during the Sherman Park Unrest under Porterfield’s leadership.
Before joining CBS 58, Porterfield worked as the weekend anchor and general assignment reporter at WCIA (from 2012 until 2016). Her first on-air role was working as a fill-in anchor and producer for WTVC-NewsChannel 9 & Fox 61 newscasts.

Additionally, she is a founding member of Milwaukee Crime Stoppers, a board member of SHARP Literacy, and a member of Jack and Jill Inc.
