Castro is thrilled to be working in a station she interned with. Without forgetting, she also worked at FM 96.5 News/Talk WDBO in Orlando, Florida as a web producer and reporter. In the course of her time there, she covered the Trayvon Martin shooting death and the Casey Anthony murder trial.
She developed her love for journalism when she was in the fifth grade. During that year she was able to win the “Best Co-Anchor” award in her school district and the rest is history. Growing up she knew she wanted to become a reporter.
