Andrews is currently the Weekend Evening Meteorologist of FOX59 and CBS4 News. Her career in meteorology started during her undergraduate years, when she worked as a sideline reporter for Indiana’s Big Ten Network student team. After that, she began working as an online reporter for Indiana University(IU) Athletics, where she covered both men’s football and basketball games in the department of marketing. She then went to intern with Indy’s ESPN radio affiliate, 93.5 and 107.5 The Fan.
Immediately after college, she was hired at WTWO-TV, an NBC-affiliated television station in Terre Haute, where she held the position of a reporter. There, she covered everything from weather to sports, to politics. While at WTWO-TV, she one day filled in for the weather department, and she loved it and decided to go back to Indiana University to pursue a meteorology course. Before going back to Indiana, she got another job at ABC-36 in Lexington, Kentucky, where she worked for around 3 years, as a morning meteorologist, from Monday to Friday.
Being a Midwest meteorologist, Andrews has seen all types of weather. She says that her favorite weather to cover is winter storms. During her leisure, she can probably be found playing Fortnite or Call of Duty with her family and friends. Also, you may find her at the dog park with her sassy puppy, Lexi, or watching Indiana sports(Hoosier sports lover).
