Countee is a meteorologist at FOX 4 in Kansas City. He serves at the station as the weekend morning meteorologist where he forecasts on the Weekend AM Show from 7 AM-9 AM. In addition to that, he does a 12 PM Show Monday through Wednesday, along with some 9 AM shows.
Prior to joining the FOX 4 weather team, he worked with Weigel Broadcasting Co, ABC57 News ABC affiliate in South Bend, Indiana. During that time he served the station as a meteorologist for two years and six months.
His passion and love for weather began at a very young age. It all happened during the epic January 2002 ice storm that struck his hometown of Kansas City. For about a week his home lost power. He was curious to know how ice could do so much damage. This curiosity grew over the years during severe weather seasons in the spring and sometimes in the fall would bring powerful storms and the occasional tornado. Countee is happy to be back to take Midwest snow, storms, cold, and heat as well as everything in between.
Upon graduation, he headed to South Bend, Indiana working at ABC57 News. While there he experienced every season and got to see sensations unique to the Great Lakes region, like lake effect snow. Furthermore, he interned with KOMU 8 News in Columbia, Missouri. In the course of his working time there, he served as the weathercaster. He also worked at KMBC-TV in Kansas City, Missouri as a weather intern.
During his leisure time, he likes cheering on the Chiefs and Royals, doing some traveling, as well as going for a run. In addition, he loves playing rec softball with his friends and also eating some good KC BBQ.
