Alessandro Borghi is an Italian actor who is best known for starring in Suburra: Blood on Rome. He is also known for appearing in more than twenty films since 2006.
Borghi made his acting debut on television in 2006 with a role in the series Distretto di Polizia. He then had a recurring role on the series L’isola in 2012, and appeared in On My Skin: The Last Seven Days of Stefano Cucchi (2018), Suburra (2015), and Romulus & Remus: The First King (2019).
He won the Nastro d’Argento award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the 2017 film Lucky where he played Chicano. In 2019, he won the David di Donatello for Best Actor for his portrayal of building surveyor Stefano Cucchi, a victim of police brutality, in the film On My Skin.

Inspired by a real-life political scandal, “Suburra: Blood on Rome” features a fight over development land in a coastal town near Rome. In addition, he is assisted by his trading team and a group of hacktivists to unveil the hidden agenda behind apparently unrelated occasions like the crisis of the PIIGS, the Libyan Civil War, and the Strauss-Kahn scandal.
