Previously before coming to ABC30 he worked at KTVZ, the NBC station in Bend, Oregon, in the United States where he served as a reporter and weekend anchor from July 2020 to January 2022. While in the Pacific Northwest he was able to cover a little bit of everything including politics, wildfires, high school sports, COVID-19, and local crime.
Alec began his journalism career in radio where he served at KCSB-FM in Santa Barbara as a sports reporter and host. Afterward, he jumped into sales and spent three years as an Account Executive working at KEYT in Santa Barbara and KUSA/9News in Denver. While at that point he decided he couldn’t ignore his true passion and went back into journalism.
