Alan Kasujja is a Ugandan Presenter/Broadcaster working with the BBC News team where he serves as a presenter and Radio Broadcaster. He is one of the main presenters of Newsday for the BBC World  News.

He often posts photos of him on his Instagram account and he wished him a happy birthday on the 1st of March 2019 when she was turning 6 years old. He was born in Uganda and spent twelve years of his childhood in Kenya. This was as they were escaping the dictatorship of Idi Amin. He later returned to Uganda at the age of twelve. However, he posted a photo of his mom on his Instagram account stating that it has been 20 years since she passed away and he was hoping he is still resting in peace. Kasujja works with the BBC News team where he serves the station as a Presenter for Newsday on BBC World News and as a Radio broadcaster. Additionally, he also works as a Host of the African Daily Podcast for the BBC World Service, a role he undertook in January of 2021.

He attended Makerere University in Uganda. Additionally, he also attended Namilyango College. Later on, in the 1990s, he began his career working at the SanyuFM station. Additionally, he also worked both in Uganda TV and radio.

Previously, he was also hosting the morning Radio Show, The Big Breakfast, in Kampala based on 91.3 Capital FM. There, he was working alongside Jackie Lumbasi and Ramesh Gabalsing. Additionally, he has also presented the Ugandan version of the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? since the year 2011. Additionally, he has also hosted The Fourth Estate, which is a highly influential political talk show in Uganda.

Additionally, he has also been based in London since the year 2012. There, he was one of the regular presenters on Newsday. The 15th of January 2016 saw him co-moderate Uganda’s first-ever televised presidential debate, alongside his KTN journalist Nancy Kacungira.
