In the second round of the 2015 NPF Draft, Andrews was selected by the Chicago Bandits of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF). She was traded to the Akron Racers after the 2015 campaign. Andrews became the first female recipient of a Rawlings Gold Glove Award in 2016. As the league’s top stealer of bases, she was also a joint recipient of the Rally Spike Award. She was profiled in ESPN The Magazine’s 2017 Body Issue. Later, the All-Americans participated in a National Pro Fastpitch League that was no longer in existence.

I’m one of those athletes that likes to play in the muck, she admitted to ESPN.”I don’t feel like I’ve done my job if I don’t get dirty throughout a game. “But I also really like looking fabulous; I wear makeup during games.” After beginning her broadcast career with YouTube show My Way with AJ, she has since gained work as a softball analyst on SEC Network, a content creator at BetMGM, and her own Barrier Breaking Women podcast, alongside her role at MLB Network.
