Jenni Lee is an American journalist of Asian descent who is working for KVUE as a weekend daybreak anchor and investigative reporter. She joined the KVUE News team in June 2015. Additionally, she has served the station for more than half a decade. Upon joining the station, she initially served as an anchor and a general assignment reporter.

Upon joining the station, she initially served as an anchor and a general assignment reporter. Prior to this, she served in Bryan and College Station at KBTX for 6 years.
For more than 2 decades, she has been breaking and broadcasting stories significant to the community and to the world. Further, she has been acknowledged by various organizations. For instance, the Texas Associated Press of Broadcasters and the Lone Star Emmy Chapter during a stint for the City of Austin. Also, the American Cancer Society, the Diversity Council, and the Austin Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities.
The Radio Television Digital News Association gave her the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award in 2017 for a story dubbed, “Border Body Farm.” The story attained first place in the Hard News Large Market Television Division Region 6 which covers Texas and Oklahoma. On a side note, when she was in the 8th grade, she attained a 7th place ribbon in gymnastics for her beam routine in the 8th-grade regional competition.

Following some tests, she was informed that part of her brain was dangling into her spinal column. After ensuing neurologist visits, it was that she had an ailment dubbed Chiari Malformation One.
Moreover, the illness might have been triggered as a result of slamming her head into the ice when she was skiing. “The symptoms typically present themselves in people in their 20s through 40s after they’ve had a head injury,” Lee said. Additionally, she voiced that they don’t know whether the symptoms of the disease might reemerge or why they halted. “The brain is a big mystery. We’re not sure why the symptoms stop or when they could come back.”
Further, she thanked people who prayed and messaged her with words of encouragement and her husband who took up duties that she couldn’t do as she was bedridden. Additionally, if the disease resurfaces, she will be forced to undergo surgery to remove part of her skull to relieve built-up pressure.
