Krauth serves at WABC – ABC7NY as an investigative reporter on Eyewitness News. Over the years with the station, he has been exposing government corruption and waste and this has led to changes in both local and state laws. Krauth has done thororugh investigations on the negative plastic surgery practices at clinics where the rate of death was rising. In the year 2019, the coverage of the plastic surgery practices prompted lawmakers to enact a state lawthat would protect patients and therefore decrease the rate of deaths. The coverage also made the countrywide surgeons to change the way they perform a popular procedure.
Krauth holds numerous Emmy Awards and a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for his work as a news reporter. He has also covered award-winning stories that have exposed how much empty government buildings are costing tax payers, and investigated a growing threat to drinking water. When coming to Krauth’s education, he is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communications and English.
Before joining WABC, he served at WTVJ in Miami, Florida as an investigative journalist for half a decade. Krauth has also worked for WPTV in West Palm Beach, Florida as an investigative reporter and news anchor; WXMI in Grand Rapids, Michigan as a news reporter; and WISE in Fort Wayne, Indiana as a weekend news anchor/reporter. Krauth got his first TV job at WREX in Rockford, Illinois where he served as a morning show producer. Krauth likes volunteering during his leisure. He volunteers at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami in Florida.
