One of his most memorable moments came when Pine Belt was hit by a tornado in January 2017. The studio’s audio was disrupted by the storm, and Bigbie had to write a warning message on a piece of paper and hold it up in front of the camera for viewers to see. The message read “No Sound Tornado on the Ground in Petal.”
Notably, Bigbie has won multiple Best of the Pine Belt awards for “Best Local TV Personality” and was even nominated for an Emmy Award in 2021. During his free time, Bigbie enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel, his friends, and family, as well as his two dogs, Foo Foo and Princess.
