Edwards is a co-anchor and general assignment reporter working for WFSB, in Hartford, Connecticut. He reported and hosted morning shows at ABC 3340 News in Birmingham, Alabama, and at KOCO 5 News in Oklahoma City before relocating to Connecticut. At KHOU-TV in Houston, Texas, he held the positions of fill-in anchor and general assignment reporter. In addition, he worked as a reporter and anchor for WIS News-10 in Columbia, South Carolina, and WOOD-TV News 8 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He enjoys writing, reading, and watching movies. He was a college track star who competed in the 110-meter hurdles and made the 1992 Olympic Trials.
Edwards is an Emmy-nominated journalist who has garnered numerous accolades for his remarkable reporting, including two NABJ Salute to Excellence Awards in 2008. In addition, 2011 the Oklahoma Broadcasters Association Award for Remarkable Investigative Reporting in 2010. and an ABBY for his “School Patrol” series in 2020 from the Alabama Broadcasters Association. Additionally, he worked for several newspapers in his native Texas, including the Corsicana Daily Sun and the Burnet Bulletin, both of which are located close to Dallas/Fort Worth.
