John hosted the CAVS pre-game show on Fox Sports Net for seven years.
Previously before joining Fox 8 New John worked at WIVB TV in Buffalo, New York as an assistant sports director. He started his career in 1972 in Ashland, Ohio with local radio. Being an 11-time Emmy Award winner, Telich has won numerous awards for his coverage of Cleveland sports, both professional and high school. His features have been honored by A.P., The Press Club of Cleveland, and U.P.I.
In 2007 he was named to the Hall of Fame by the Cleveland Association of Broadcasters, and won the Chuck Heaton Award from the Cleveland Press Club. Being a fitness buff, he has completed over 100 triathlons in the past 27 years, including three Ironman Distance races. He also completed the Burning River 100 Mile Ultra Marathon in just over 29 hours.
