Staton is a Sports Reporter working for WTKR. He had a love for sports from a very young age, talking about it to anybody who would listen. He turned his passion into his dream, and in August of 2022, he returned to his home state to join News 3 sports team. Before coming to Hampton Roads, he spent four years at WDAY in Fargo, North Dakota as a sports anchor and reporter.
During his time there, he covered numerous events and teams across North Dakota and Minnesota, including an NFL Draft, a string of North Dakota State football national champions, and Viking training camps and games. During his free time, he can be found exploring the seven cities together with his wife Logan. Additionally, he enjoys finding new places to help build his basketball shoe collection, taking strolls with his golden retriever, Daisy, and getting out to the beach.
