Moreover, she has served as a reporter and an anchor nationwide for over 20 years. Further, she attained two Emmys for her anchoring and has been acknowledged many times by the Texas Associated Press.
When she was 18, she served Telemundo as a reporter. Upon her graduation, she served KACB in San Angelo, Texas as an anchor. In addition, she served in Lubbock, Texas at KCBD as a weekend evening anchor. During her stint there, she provided coverage for everything such as fatal tornadoes and the Columbia space shuttle calamity.
For just about two years, she served in Knoxville at WATE and assisted debut of the station’s weekend morning newscast. In 2005, she served in Miami at WPLG as a breaking news reporter and anchor. While there, she broadcasted everything such as Fidel Castro and Hurricane Katrina. Succeeding Miami, she migrated to Connecticut where she served as an anchor for their weekday morning newscast.
Further, her days’ involved wall-to-wall coverage of huge blizzards instead of tropical storms. In the Nutmeg State, she was dubbed one of Hartford’s Top 40 Under 40, which is granted to people in Connecticut who serve as positive role models in the community. However, her career spotlights include traveling to rural Mexico, where she found contaminated vegetables were the reason for a Hepatitis A outbreak in East Tennessee.
Second, the capture of Eric Rudolph, the Olympic Park bomber, in North Carolina. Aside from work, she enjoys partaking in activities in the community. To boot, she served the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and their Race for the Cure, and the American Red Cross as a volunteer. Also, she served the Lupus Foundation, the Salvation Army, and Meals on Wheels as a reporter.
Furthermore, she loves serving young girls with GenAustin as a mentor. Additionally, she feels it’s significant for young girls to know that they control their own destiny, which includes their career path, and their overall happiness. During weekends, she enjoys exploring with her husband and sons. Together, they go on road trips and visit different museums and restaurants.
