Growing up in his hometown of New Orleans Wesley’s started his journey into weather as a young boy. Among his earliest memories was witnessing Hurricane Georges make landfall and experiencing firsthand the ferocious winds of a storm. He also enjoyed visiting the local Children’s Museum with his parents and couldn’t get enough of sitting behind the anchor desk of the mock television studio there. Therefore his fascination with broadcast meteorology was taking root early on.
Williams began his career in TV at WLUC in Marquette, Michigan. While there, he tracked snowstorm after snowstorm. Afterward, he moved to work at KTVE in Monroe, Louisiana. While there he sharpened his skills at breaking severe weather coverage by tracking tornadoes. Later he eventually made another move to the Gulf Coast at WLOX in Biloxi, Mississippi, where he has become a familiar face to wake up to on Good Morning Mississippi in recent years. During his free time, Wesley and his wife enjoy being at the beach, discovering local eateries, and exploring the charm of Coastal Mississippi.
