Corona is currently an Anchor and Reporter for WSB-TV in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. She also works for Cox Media Group as a News anchor and Reporter. Corona joined both platforms in January 2013. She is an active member of the society and is even a member of Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School, which will graduate its first class in Georgia in May 2018. She is very supportive in the areas of women’s health, education, literacy projects, and domestic violence.
Prior to moving to Atlanta, she worked at WFAA in Dallas, Texas as an evening anchor at KPRC in Houston, Texas. Additionally, she was a morning anchor at Local 10, the ABC affiliate in Miami. Talking about where she started, she began her broadcast career as a reporter in Yuma, Arizona followed by El Paso, Texas, and Orlando, Florida.
Her career has been an interesting one as she has been a witness to many significant news events, starting in her college days and being present at the O.J. Simpson murder trial. Adding to this, she had the pleasure of teaming up with Robin Roberts in Miami to support Women’s Hear Health initiatives. She has also hosted numerous event broadcasts from sporting to philanthropic gala events and finds joy in connecting with the community this way.
Born and raised in Southern California, she attended and graduated from a local high school before later joining the University of Southern California. Four years later, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish.
