Prior to joining News 12, he held diverse roles in the field, including anchor, reporter, producer, and news manager at local television stations in Oklahoma, New York, and Kansas. Before working at News 12, he worked as a senior Correspondent at WZZM-TV from October 1992 to December 1993. He also worked as a producer and a reporter for KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City, from September 1989 to September 1999.
Notably, Kane is dedicated to supporting fellow journalists, having conducted investigative reporting workshops for media professionals from emerging democracies, as part of a program coordinated by the International Center for Journalists. In his illustrious career, Kane has tackled some of the most significant stories, including in-depth investigations into the World Trade Center attack and various U.S. military operations.
His reporting has focused on exposing government waste, instances of abuse, in-depth investigative journalism, substantial consumer scams, and undercover operations.
