When she joined the station, the most active hurricane season on record was happening. The season spawned 31 systems with Hurricane Wilma and Katrina hitting South Florida directly. In addition to that, her Geography credentials were extremely valuable in assisting to track everything mother nature threw their way.
As a result of her hard work, she was promoted to serve as a weather anchor in 2007 for “Today In Florida” Saturday Edition. Moreover, she serves as a member of both The National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society. Additionally, she loves being a part of the community teaching children about math and science.
Also, she supports causes such as La Liga Contra El Cancer and partakes with the Community Partnership for the Homeless and Habitat for Humanity. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. To boot, she loves cooking, kickboxing, watching movies, and following sports uniquely from her hometown teams.
