Buckley serves as the Chief Meteorologist at WFMY News 2 in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he presents forecasts during the 4, 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts. In this role, he is responsible for analyzing weather data, producing graphics, and delivering impact-driven forecasts. He joined WFMY News in January 2014 as a weekend meteorologist and was later promoted to her current role in March 2017.
His time at WFMY has seen him cover everything from multiple major winter storms, the 2018 Greensboro tornado, several hurricanes such as Irene, Mathew, Helene, Sandy, Florence, & Arthur, and the April 2011 tornado outbreak. He has also received several Emmy nominations for the WFMY News 2 Weather Spotter program, which enables spotters throughout the Piedmont region to deliver live, on-air reports to viewers.
