Gray reported, anchored, and produced stories impacting the Texas/Mexico border while in South Texas. She reported women’s health in the Hispanic community, presidential border visits, and immigration.
Gray worked as the morning reporter and fill-in anchor at KMTV in Omaha, Nebraska before working in her home state of Texas. Some of her most impressive stories included a black man who was lynched in the middle of the city and the 100-year commemoration of Will Brown. Additionally, she reported a home for previously incarcerated people in the LGBTQ + community and the opening of the Lydon House. She also loved reporting the College World Series!
Gray began her career in Ada, Oklahoma, at KXII working as the bureau reporter reporting the Texoma region. At KXII, she reported school scandals and investigated hospital malpractice, murder trials, and natural disasters. Her most inspiring story here intent about a man who was wrongfully declared guilty of murder and spent 3 decades in prison. Days after his release, she interviewed him.
Gray has worked for NABJ’s high school journalism workshop as a mentor for several years and is also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists. In her spare time, she loves trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and swimming.
