Williams serves as the bilingual morning news anchor for Good Morning Carolinas (the 5 am to 8 AM weekday newscast) at WPDE-TV (ABC 15, Myrtle Beach, SC). In addition to his on-air role, he produces a Spanish update called ‘Trabajando Por Ti’ and contributes multimedia reporting. Williams joined the WPDE team in June 2019 as a bilingual weekend anchor and MMJ, and was promoted to his current role in March 2022.
In 2021, Williams won a second-place award from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas for a report telling the story of a nurse who lives in South Carolina legally. Additionally, in 2024, Williams was part of a team awarded a Southeast Regional Emmy for ‘Outstanding Morning Newscast.’
Before ABC15, Williams served as a morning news reporter at KFOX14 in El Paso, TX, from 2017–2019. Here, he covered notable moments including the Senate race between Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Beto O’Rourke, border wall development, immigration news, and the housing of immigrant children in tent facilities. He also worked through hurricanes and tropical storms.
Beyond the newsroom, Williams has completed training to assist in drone flights to give aerial visuals to viewers.
