Shaynah Ferreira is an American Anchor/Reporter currently working for Fox 29 News since August 2021 when she joined the station as a general assignment reporter and anchor. Previously, before joining Fox 29, she was working as an anchor/reporter for WTNH News 8. This is the ABC station in Hartford, CT, and she worked there for almost two years. Through her in-depth reporting on the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on the community, she was able to earn an Emmy nomination.

Ferreira is a proud graduate of Emerson College in Boston where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2017. In addition, she completed a journalism course in Havana, Cuba. There, she was also serving as an executive producer for the mini-documentary “Afro-Cuba Libre.” This is a piece documenting that was sharing on racial tensions and inequities on the island. Ferreira also studied at Times Squared Academy where he completed his high school level education in 2013.
