He joins KCTV after a decade of serving as the play-by-play voice for Stanford football and basketball in Northern California. During his time in the Bay Area, Scott also contributed to Comcast SportsNet, hosting pregame and postgame shows for various teams including the San Francisco Giants, Oakland A’s, Golden State Warriors, and San Jose Sharks. Additionally, he worked as a sports anchor/reporter at KTVU.
Before his tenure in California, Scott anchored at ESPN from 2000 to 2008, hosting notable programs such as SportsCenter, Baseball Tonight, College Football Live, and NFL Live. Before ESPN, he worked at WUTR-TV in Utica, New York, and later served as the sports director at KCOY-TV in Santa Maria, California.
In addition to his broadcasting career, Scott authored the Amazon best-seller, “Where They Were Then: Sportscasters.” This book features personal stories from renowned sports broadcasters about their journeys in the industry, including contributions from current and former ESPN anchors such as Scott Van Pelt, Kenny Mayne, Trey Wingo, Stan Verrett, and Neil Everett.
