Grayson later graduated from Arizona State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Broadcasting and Journalism in May of 2000.

Previously, Grayson worked for the Philadelphia Eagles Beat as a reporter for 97.3 FM on ESPN Radio in South Jersey for five years. Later, he moved northwards in order to manage the sports desk at WTAJ-TV in Altoona, PA. He then moved to WHP-TV in Harrisburg, PA.
