Before heading to work at KREM TV, Simms worked for 2 years at KEPR-TV as a weekend anchor, reporter, and producer. During here time there, he anchored, produced, and edited weekend newscasts. He also Supervised reporters and commanded weekend news coverage. After graduating from college, Ryan worked in the Yakima, Washington Area at KIMA-TV as a reporter and fill-in Anchor.
