Roland Steadham is an American meteorologist of Cuban descent who is working for KBOI as a weekday meteorologist on KBOI 2 at 4, and 5:30, and the CW at 9 and 10 p.m. news. Also, he serves as the station’s chief meteorologist. He joined the station in 2009. Additionally, he has served the station for more than a decade.

Steadham serves KBOI as a weekday meteorologist on KBOI 2 at 4, and 5:30, and the CW at 9 and 10 p.m. news. Also, he serves as the station’s chief meteorologist. He joined the station in 2009. Additionally, he has served the station for more than a decade. For 35 years, he has served as a meteorologist who’s spent half of his career forecasting hurricanes and drastic thunderstorms in South Florida. The other half has been spent in the West with most of his time in Utah.
His experience spans tropical weather and blizzards making him certified to be the Chief Meteorologist for KBOI 2 News. Prior to KBOI, he served KTVX as a chief meteorologist from March 2009 to May 2012. Further, he served KUTV 2 News as a chief meteorologist from April 2005 to April 2009. For a decade, he served WTVJ NBC Miami as chief meteorologist. Aside from meteorology, he serves as a commercially licensed pilot and ardent skydiver. Also, he is fluent in Spanish.
For more than 3, 000 hours, he has flown everything such as competition aerobatics, twin-engine jets, and gliders. Moreover, he has realized more than 700 skydives under his belt. However, he enjoys the mountains as a form of recreation. On weekends in summer, he kayaks Idaho rivers alongside his wife and daughters. On the other hand, he rides in the mountains on his dirt bike in the spring and fall. Moreover, he holds the National Weather Association Seal of Approval and the American Meteorological Society.
