Roger Wallace is an American Anchor/Reporter working for KXAN Austin, Texas, United States as a sports anchor and host. He joined the station in 1995. He previously worked for KSBY-TV in San Luis Obispo where he worked as a sports anchor and reporter.

Roger Wallace Career
Wallace is a sports anchor and host for KXAN News. He anchors at 6 and 10 and also hosts the Game Night on Sundays at 10:30pm. He also serves on KBVO-TV as play-by-play voice for High School Football and Basketball. Since 2004 he has been part of the Longhorn Football Radio Network. Later after working as sideline reporter, for seven years he moved to the color analyst position in 2011.
Roger started his career in San Luis Obispo on the central coast of California where he worked for KSBY-TV as a sports anchor and reporter. After working in California, he went to Tyler, Texas where he worked at KLTV as the main sports anchor for three years. He then moved to work at KAKE-TV in Wichita, Kansas as sports anchor and was also the television voice of Wichita State basketball and baseball.
Wallace then made his way to Austin in 1995 and has been here ever since. He has covered both the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Since 2011 he has served as the radio analyst for the University of Texas Football radio network and before that he was their sideline reporter for the previous seven years including their National Championship season of 2005.
Roger is a multiple winner for “Best Sportscast” where he was voted on by the Texas Associated Press and has also been named by The Austin Chronicle as the Best Sportscaster. He has aso been involved with numerous Central Texas charities including FCA, CASA, Caritas of Austin, and “Neighborhood Longhorns”. He is also a regular on the reading circuit to kids at a number of area elementary schools. During his free time, he loves to play basketball, golf, and the never-ending battle with the elliptical machine.
