Wyant is an anchor and reporter working for NBC12 News in Richmond, Virginia. In August 2023, she began anchoring as well as taking over as the Henrico County Reporter. She likes to spend time at Lake Anna wakeboarding with her three younger brothers when she’s not in the newsroom. She attends as many football games as she can because she loves the Hokies so much. My favorite line from her is, “I don’t know the secret to happiness, but I’ll tell you what…I’ve never been sad at a Mexican restaurant.”
Riley was most recently a finalist for an Emmy for her reporting on the deadly UVA tragedy. Riley previously worked as an anchor and reporter at NBC29 in Charlottesville, where she assisted with sports and the weather in addition to her many news-related responsibilities. Behind the scenes, she created her television programs. Wyant worked as an assistant sports Director at 3304 Sports from February 2019 to May 2019.
During her time there, she was the founding member and team leader of the student-run digital network. She also hosted, Produced, directed, and served as an analyst for multiple game broadcasts (Baseball, Lacrosse, Wrestling, and Women’s Hoops). Before that, she worked as an anchor and reporter at VTTV Limited from January 2016 to May 2019 in Blacksburg, Virginia. While there, she wrote scripts about the relevant stories and conducted on-camera interviews. Additionally, she gained on-air performance skills each week as the lead anchor of the main broadcast, Tech Tonight.
