Rich Walsh is an American Anchor/Reporter/Host working for CBS Pittsburgh/KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States as a weekend sports anchor. He joined the station in 2014. He previously worked as a primary studio and game day intermission host for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He also makes appearances on KDKA-FM, 93.7 “The Fan.” Before coming to KDKA, he worked as the primary studio and game-day intermission host for the Pittsburgh Penguins and also served for ROOT Sports Pittsburgh as a sideline reporter and host. For the last 12 years, he has worked as a Sports Anchor, Reporter, and Host in Pittsburgh.
Rich has anchored and reported sports for 13 years. He also worked at Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh and in Wheeling, West Virginia at WTRF-TV as an anchor. While in his career, he has had the opportunity to cover The Final Four, two Stanley Cup Championships, two Winter Classics, four Super Bowls, an MLB All-Star game, two U.S. Opens, and countless other memorable events, such as Sidney Crosby’s first game in the NHL.
Walsh is in the Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates locker rooms on a daily basis and has developed many contacts throughout the years. He is a former captain of Pitt’s track and cross-country teams. During his free time, he enjoys the golf course and running and is highly involved in the Pittsburgh community. He serves on several boards, such as the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Athletics and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He has won awards for broadcasting and his charity work. Most recently he was recognized as Pittsburgh’s 40 under 40 for raising more than $200,000 in memory of his father.
