At KOLO 8 News Now, Kitchen serves as the co-anchor of Good Morning Reno, where she is responsible for delivering breaking news. She first joined the station in May 2012 as an intern.
In recent years, she has steadily advanced through multiple roles, beginning as a Video editor and video journalist (2012), moving into general assignment reporter (2012–2014), Weekend anchor (2014), until she was promoted to her current role in 2017, where she enjoys helping viewers start their day.
She has had memorable moments including flying with the Blue Angels, reporting on the 2016 Little Valley Fire coverage that earned her an Emmy nomination, traveling on Honor Flight Nevada with her grandfather, and covering the 2020 Reno Riots.
