Pheben Kassahun is an American Anchor/Reporter/Multi-Media Journalist working for WKBW-TV in Buffalo, New York as a weekday news anchor and reporter at noon and 5:30 p.m. She joined the station in July of 2021. She previously worked for WJHL and ABC Tri-Cities in Tri-Cities in TN/AV as an evening anchor and reporter.

Kassahun is a weekday news anchor and reporter for WKBW-TV at noon and 5:30 p.m. As a Dallas native, she has also lived in Arkansas, Idaho, and recently, the Tri-Cities, TN/VA, prior to moving to the Empire State. Before coming to Buffalo, she worked as the weeknight anchor for WJHL and ABC Tri-Cities’ 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. newscasts, and also reported on stories about community heroes.
Pheben is a highly educated and qualified woman. After graduating from high school with a high school diploma, she attended the University of Arkansas, where she graduated with a dual major in journalism with a concentration in broadcast and political science with a concentration in foreign affairs. She loves being at the gym and calling the Hogs! (WPS!), loves NCAA and NBA basketball. She is also an avid hiker.
