She also reported extensively on crime and justice issues, including NASA’s Space Shuttle Discovery program and the execution of Ted Bundy.
Over the years, Beck has been honored several times for her dedication to journalism. One of the most notable came in 2011, when the Gainesville Police Department presented her with its Police Service Award for her investigative series Cold Cases.
