Schleisman works for WKRG News 5 as a reporter. She was born in Plano, Texas, and is happy to call the Gulf Coast home. She began her broadcast career in Sherman, Texas, where she did practically all jobs she could in the newsroom and fell in love with reporting.
From there, she moved to Topeka, Kansas, and worked as the weekend anchor and reporter. She discovered the magic of Mardi Gras when she moved to Shreveport, Louisiana.
Schleisman has reported d a wide range of stories, from the aftermath, a family’s fight to help their young daughter see, Mardi Gras, to meeting with one of the original plaintiffs in the monumental Brown V. Board of Education case on the 60th anniversary of the decision and historic floods.
She holds a degree in Journalism and minors in French and Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Schleisman spent her last three years of high school living in Paris, France. She caught the travel bug while living abroad.
