He had previously spent 1 year and 11 months working at WHAS-TV where he served as a reporter based in Louisville, Kentucky.
Prior to that, he worked at WGEM-TV based in Quincy, Illinois where he served as a multimedia journalist from October 2008 to June 2010. He has also won several awards and honors including a Regional Emmy Award in 2016, the 2015 National Headliner Award, and the 2016 Regional Edward R. Murrow Award. In 2014, he received the Regional Emmy Award as well as the Missouri Broadcasters Award. He also received the 2011 Regional Emmy Award from NATAS.
