Beaudet works as an investigative reporter a WCVB. in the market-leading investigative unit on WCVB NewsCenter 5 she reports along with Kathy Curran and Karen Anderson. Before joining the team, he spent nineteen years working as an investigative reporter and anchor at WFXT and also worked for WCVB’s sister station WMUR as an anchor/reporter.

In September 2015, he left his last position at WFXT to become a full-time journalism professor at Northeastern University. He continues teaching at Northeastern and taps the talents of his students to assist in the in-depth investigations that dually work as case studies in the classroom.

He has earned national and regional awards including Sciences (NATAS) Boston/New England Emmy awards and twenty National Academy of Television Arts. In 2021 he won an Emmy for being an Outstanding Investigative Reporter.

Beaudet and his team have also won multiple Associated Press and Edward R. Murrow Awards for reporting topics ranging from wrongful convictions to organized crime. He is originally from Massachusetts and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication in 1992 from Emerson College. He earned his Master’s in Journalism from Northeastern in 2008.
