His career began at WSAZ-TV in Huntington, West Virginia, and he afterward worked at WYOU in Scranton, WLKY in Louisville, KSTP in Minneapolis, Hearst Argyle Washington Bureau, and WTTG in Washington before returning to New York in 2006 to work at WNBC. Gargiulo has covered several of the Tri-State’s most notable stories, including the storm-related devastation in Breezy Point, Queens in 2012, and the steam pipe explosion in Manhattan’s Flatiron District in 2018.
