Caron is a reporter and anchor for FOX 61 News with 15 years of television news experience. Ever, since he joined the station, he has reported on some of Connecticut’s most high-profile stories including the vintage plane crash at Bradley Airport, the crisis of crumbling home foundations, the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos, the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sandy Hook massacre, and racial injustice. His news philosophy has always been ‘people first.’ Ethics matter – empathy matters.
Previously before joining the Fox team, Matt worked at WWLP 22News in Springfield, MA as an evening Anchor and Reporter. While there he spearheaded the launch of a new 10 PM weekend newscast on the station’s CW affiliate. He began his career as an intern in the year 2006.
