Saladna works as an Anchor/Reporter at WCVB. She has been selected for multiple New England Emmy Awards for her anchoring and reporting during her tenure. Lately, she won an Emmy Award for her reporting on the destruction of Merrimack Valley gas explosions in 2019.

In 2017, she won two Emmy Awards, one for her reporting of the “Taunton Rampage” story that helped earn WCVB the coveted Best Newscast award and one for Continuous Coverage. In 2001, she was selected three times for Emmy Awards recognizing Individual Achievement for her anchoring, and won the honor.

Saladna obtained six Emmy nominations for her reporting and anchoring from the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences while at WGAL. Before joining Channel 5, she co-anchored WGAL-TV’s 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. weekday newscasts. Hearst Television owns both WGAL and WCVB.

Her broadcast background includes Hagerstown, Md; anchor/reporter at WJAC-TV, stints as a promotional producer at KDKA-TV, Iris Award and winner of three Pennsylvania Association of Broadcaster awards, Johnstown, Penn.; and creator, executive producer, and host of “Pulse,” an award-winning healthcare issues magazine that had been nominated for a national Emmy, regional Emmy.

She volunteers her time to support ALS One, Home Base – a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Program, the Mass 9/11 Fund, the Jeff Coombs Foundation, the American Heart Association, and the Ellie Fund.

Long ago, she volunteered her time to United Cerebral Palsy, children’s safety groups, the Children’s Miracle Network, Special Olympics, MADD/SADD, and Easter Seals. She joined Pennsylvania State University where she majored in marketing, and studied international business and politics at the University of Exeter in England.
