Prior to joining WGAL, Ellen worked at WPMT FOX43 for more than 20 years. She joined FOX43 in 1999 as a weekend meteorologist and was promoted in 2012 to Chief Meteorologist. Her promotion was historic as she became the first woman to hold the Chief Meteorologist position in the Lower Susquehanna Valley. At FOX43, she co-anchored weekday weather segments alongside Evan Forrester, Jackie De Tore, and Todd Sadowski.
Occasionally, her career began in 1997, when she first worked as a meteorologist at WMDT in the Maryland Eastern Shore. During her time at the station, Ellen freelanced at FOX43 in York, Pennsylvania, WUSA in Washington, D.C., and FOX45 in Baltimore.
