Mark Rivera is an American Anchor/Reporter working for ABC 7 News as a weekend news anchor and reporter since joining the station in December 2017. Prior to ABC 7 News, he worked at WTSP-TV in Tampa Florida where he was serving as a weekend morning news anchor and political reporter.

In addition, he anchored ABC’s on-air coverage for more than three hours as Commander Bauer was honored by the city and its residents.
While at the WTSP-TV station’s news desk, he was providing six hours of compelling non-stop coverage of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in nearby Orlando. In addition, as the station’s political reporter, he was covering Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump campaign rallies. In addition, he co-moderated a heated congressional debate and questioned Vice President Mike Pence about Russian influence. Away from the political stories, he has covered a wide range of stories including the hurricanes that devastated Florida to a family whose son is a 5-organ transplant survivor.
Previously, he was working with WAND-TV in Decatur, Illinois where he was anchoring a two-hour daily newscast. In addition, he reported a weekly feature piece that was focused on the local community. In addition, while there, he won a regional Associated Press Award. Away from work, he and his wife enjoy running and exploring all diners, taco spots, and coffee shops that Chicago has to offer.
