Mark Albert is an American Correspondent/Consultant/Adjunct Lecturer working for Hearst Television in Washington D.C. Metro Area as a Chief National Investigative Correspondent. He joined the station in June 2018. He previously worked at Vietnam Television Network (VTV) in Vietnam as a Broadcast Journalism Instructor/Consultant.

Albert is a Chief National Investigative Correspondent for Hearst Television. While there he leads the creation of Hearst Television’s first-ever National Investigative Unit and is responsible for overseeing source development, story pitches, research, and creating content plans for localizing national investigations for TV & radio stations within the station group. This includes managing the budget, writing recruitment ads, leading interview panels, & training.

Prior to Hearst Television, Mark worked as a Broadcast Journalism Instructor/Consultant at Vietnam Television Network (VTV). While he taught courses on creating digital news content for multi-platform, innovative journalism and increasing social media engagement to journalists at Vietnam’s premier broadcast network. Prior to that, he was an Adjunct Lecturer at Northwestern University Medill School in the Washington D.C. Metro Area where he helped teach the Spring quarter cohort of graduate students about daily and long-form news reporting, broadcast journalism, and multi-media coverage.

Albert also worked at The Voyage Report as an Editor In Chief where he motivational, strategic leader of an online newsroom covering travel and transportation issues; set the journalistic vision, and priorities for the organization; foster out-of-the-box thinking; manage expenses; and draft short- and long-term strategic goals.
