Davis is a Sports Director working for WTKR. He began his career in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, working as a news photojournalist for WHP CBS21. Baseball, collegiate basketball, and football are Marc’s three favorite sports. He is from East Petersburg, Pennsylvania, and he earned his journalism degree from Shippensburg University in 2004. While he enjoys covering the games and major events, finding and sharing inspirational tales involving local athletes is his favorite aspect of the job.
Since he used to mute the TV and pretend to commentate athletic events as a child, Davis has known he wants to work in television. He claims that he is living his dream decades later. In September 2021, Marc joined the News 3 staff as Sports Director and brought with him 17 years of broadcasting expertise. Most recently, he worked for 10 years at WWBT NBC12 in Richmond, where he covered a wide range of teams and events, including the Final Four, the World Series, and the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
Marc oversaw the sports division at WCAV CBS19 and WVAW ABC16 in Charlottesville, where he covered all things UVA, before moving to the state capitol. Marc enjoys spending time with his family and getting outside when he isn’t covering sports. Ella and Preslie are his two daughters, and he lives in Virginia Beach. Marc is eager to integrate into the Hampton Roads community and communicate important news and sports updates to his audience.
