Lynne Hayes is an American Producer/Host/Reporter working for CBS Pittsburgh/KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States as a producer and host of “The Lynne Hayes-Freeland Show,” a weekly half-hour show that concentrates on local African-American issues. She joined the station in May 1977. She previously worked for Westinghouse Broadcasting as an Evening Magazine Field Producer.

Hayes is the producer and host for CBS Pittsburgh/KDKA-TV of “The Lynne Hayes-Freeland Show,” a weekly half-hour show that concentrates on local African-American issues. She started her career in broadcast journalism at KDKA-Radio as the producer of the Roy Fox Show. Since she joined KDKA, she has held a variety of positions. She worked for the station’s “Evening Magazine” program as a field producer.
Lynne moved to the station’s programming department in 1981 where she created “Weekend Magazine”, produced what was then known as the “Vibrations” program, and directed a variety of commercial efforts. Later she began a five-year stint as the producer of KDKA’s Annual Children’s Hospital Free Care Fund Telethon in 1985. As a result of those efforts, Hayes was named Director of Community Programs until her move to the news department.
Being an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Hayes has also been involved in a variety of community service work such as volunteering time on several local Boards. Both locally and nationally her work has been recognized by organizations.
