After subsequent broadcasting jobs in both Rochester and Buffalo, she went back in the summer of 2018 to her first Rochester TV station to co-anchor NEWS 8 at Sunrise along with Meteorologist Josh Nichols and Mark Gruba.
Lia began her career in broadcasting in Elmira at WETM and like many young journalists, she was fully prepared to move all over the country and work her way up through various markets. However something happened that changed her plans and a lot of other people, too. On 9th November the year 2001, her then-boyfriend and current husband, was late to work at his office on the 86th floor of 2 World Trade Center. On that day he lost 42 Co-workers and Lando decided she was going to NYC to be with him. She went ahead to work for News 12 Westchester and landed a role on One Life To Live, as Janelle, and also acted in several other TV shows.
Lando also took a couple of breaks from TV to spend more time with her boys. She is happy to be working the morning shift. She is passionate about the community and family. During her free time, she enjoys spending time at Keuka Lake, running, singing, and cheering on her sons at their sporting events.
