Donovan is an evening news reporter for KIRO 7 News from 5 to 7 PM. She made the pivot to the evening news cast after working for more than a year with the morning crew. During her time at Mizzou, she worked at the local NBC-affiliate, KOMU-TV as a reporter and anchor. While in college, she had the opportunity to intern overseas for European media outlet, ViEUws. Being located in Brussels, Belgium her work focused largely on the European Union. By interviewing members of Parliament, she has covered trade relations, Brexit and the unsettling aftermath of three suicide bombings.
Lauren next stop was cornfields of Des Moines, where she reported and anchored for KCCI-TV. During her tome at the CBS-affiliate, she received an Emmy nomination and an Iowa Broadcasting Association award for her tornado coverage. Beyond the doppler, she covered the Iowa caucuses and the dozens of political candidates who visited the state vying for a Presidential nomination including our own Governor, Jay Inslee. During her free time, she loves sampling IPAs, grooving out to her parents’ music (Fleetwood Mac and CCR are her favorites) and *attempting* to take her cat Darcy on hikes.
