Prior to WFMY News, Coleman served as an anchor and traffic reporter at WHBQ FOX13 in Memphis, Tennessee. Here, he anchored the 4:30 a.m. and midday newscasts, delivered traffic reports on Good Morning Memphis, and led the Family Focus Franchise. She also contributed as a nightside reporter before joining the morning team.
Occasionally, her career began as a D.C. Bureau Reporter for KARK-TV in Little Rock, Arkansas, and KNWA-TV in Fayetteville, Arkansas. From conducting interviews with U.S. Senators and Members of Congress, Coleman moved to WDAM-TV in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, where she served as a weekend anchor/producer and Multi-Skilled Journalist and earned recognition for franchise reporting from the Mississippi Associated Press. Beyond the newsroom, Coleman is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists.
