Between the years 2006 and 2009, she had covered the United Nations, where she was travelling to Burma, Darfur, Sri Lanka, and Congo. Additionally, she also happens to be the first journalist to have interviewed Secretay-General Ban Ki-moon. Between the year 2009 and 2012, she was working as a BBC correspondent where she was based in New York. There, she was covering everything from the row over the proposed mosque at ground zero to Haiti’s cholera epidemic.
Three years later. as she was working as a BBC New York correspondent, she joined the BBC World News America where she was working as a correspondent/anchor. Since she joined the WNA team, she has been able to anchor live on location as she was covering the Boston Marathon bombing, President Obama’s historic visit to Cuba, Hurricane Sandy, the Oklahoma tornado, and the Cleveland kidnapping case.
