Laura Tobin is an English Meteorologist working as a Weather Presenter for ITV Good Morning Britain every weekday morning from 6 am since September 2012. She was previously working as a forecaster for the Met Office after her graduation from the University.

At the Met, she began as a commercial forecaster at Cardiff weather center where she was providing weather forecasts for the local radio stations, energy companies, and gritters. The year 2004 saw her provide local and global forecasts to Pilots and crew flying local training missions, plus personnel & cargo all over the World, and Pilots and crew at RAF Brize Norton.
In addition, the year 2007 also saw her join the BBC Weather Centre where she joined as a broadcast meteorologist. She also presented on several platforms from Countryfile, online, BBC radio, and BBC World to BBC 1 o’clock and 6 o’clock news.
Later in 2012, she joined ITV Breakfast on Daybreak where she was working as a Meteorologist and weather forecaster. There, she was keeping viewers up to date on some of the most severe weather ever seen, which is severe snowstorms, the wettest winter on record, Typhoon Haiyan, and the wettest summer in 100 years.
In addition, her other career highs includes being the first person in the world to ride the Smiler roller coaster at Alton Towers. This was while presenting from many farms with lots of naughty animals, presenting the weather with Steve Carell and Kermit the Frog, and modeling hats at Ascot.
Currently, on Good Morning Britain, she loves to keep viewers informed about everyday weather, any interesting weather from around the United Kingdom, and severe weather, and adding some science along the way. She is very passionate about communicating climate change to ITV viewers and audiences where she has presented many items on GMB and a Tonight Special about changing weather in the United Kingdom. January of 2020 saw her go viral when she posed a challenge to Australian MP, Craig Kelly, about his views on Climate change when he was talking about the Australian wildfires.
January 2020 later saw him make a trip of a lifetime all the way to NASA in Houston. There, she was interviewing astronauts about the new Artemis mission to return to the moon. This was while watching astronauts training on a lifesize international station in the neutral buoyancy lab & even driving a Moon rover. Tobin is very passionate about raising awareness about premature birth and on Charlotte’s first birthday, she launched a range of premature baby cards on GMB with Hallmark and Bliss.
