Inskeep is the co-anchors of the WKRC newscasts with Paula Toti. He spent three years as a morning reporter and fill-in anchor for FOX59 in Indianapolis before relocating to Cincinnati. Inskeep covered the 2017 Presidential Inauguration, the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500, and Jared Fogle’s sentencing while he was there. He was chosen as the Tim Russert Fellow for 2012. He succeeds Johansen, who departed on February 28 after 26 years to work for Raleigh, North Carolina’s WRAL-TV.
Since Johansen’s departure, the station had been without a male nighttime replacement for primary anchor Rob Braun. Inskeep spent a year working as a political unit researcher and assisting the “Meet the Press” team in the NBC News bureau in Washington, D.C. Before joining WXIN-TV and sister station WTWO-TV, an NBC affiliate, he spent two years working at WTWO-TV in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Tribune Broadcasting Company owns both.
Kyle participated in this program as a researcher for the network’s “political unit,” helped field producers and journalists, and collaborated with the Meet The Press digital crew.
